Installation attempt one: Upgrade from FC4
- Put DVD in drive
- Admire new logo
- Be surprised that installer tells installation will take 400+ minutes.
- Be surprised that it really takes that long.
- Go to a party
- Return to find finished installation
- Restart
- Be shocked by kernel panic
- Fail to recover
- Say bad words (a lot)
Installation attempt two: Clean Install
- Put DVD in drive
- Install in 30 mins.
- Customize in 2h
- Be productive
I am still installing some auxiliary software. Aside of that it is a clean and slick system. Nice!

FC5 is my first experience with linux... i'm liking it a lot. started off with gnome, now using kde. gnome looks a little prettier IMHO, but kde has some nifty features that gnome doesn't .... don't know which i'll stay with though!
