The Big Rewrite

After working for a full year developing PokerOlymp.de I decided it's time for a change.

Right now I have quite a challenge before me: complete rewrite of existing service, including transition:

• from Java to Ruby
• from Spring 2 to Ruby on Rails
• from MySQL to PostgreSQL

Having read Chad Fowler's "The Big Rewrite" and being part of a few 'rewrite' teams in the past I know how many problems I will encounter.

In addition to all technical difficulties I'll also have to coach two fresh Railers. I'm looking forward to next few months...
